Anybody know if bleeker is iced off? Is the camp ground open to camping ?
Thanks
This was bleeker only two days ago so I’d say no not yet …

But it’s supposed to be a hot week so maybe by next weekend ๐
If I’m not mistakened, Bleeker has a Forestry Service Rec Site which is open year round? Heading up to the Roche area next week to do a little “scouting”.
Hi guys
Any good camping spots at Stump ?
No camping at Stump. ๐ If there was I’d have been there this weekend. Somebody needs to fix that. lol
Their is a forestry campsite on the other side of stump straight across from the main middle launch plenty of room and a rough boat launch
Thanks Wayne. Forgot about that. If I can’t get my tiny trailer in, I have a tendency to forget about them. I’m told there’s a private campsite as well, but not until later in the year.
Slow day today at White. Calm but constantly light rain. Fish were actively feeding on top for short periods especially past the provincial park towards the far end. Lost a couple but couldn’t fool much. Guys at the site said same thing didn’t get nothing today. Ayeee ?
Hello
Will be taking advantage of the nice weather coming up… Does anybody know if the campsites at 6 mile( Thompson- nicola )are accessible this time of the year ?
Sorry Fog no campsites at Pat (Six Mile) either ๐
Any news on heffley? Thanks
Completely locked up as at March 24 …
Why did they lock up heffley ?
Locked with ice…..
Hi. New to this site. Has anyone been to Lundbom yet? I live in White Rock so it’s rather a long drive. Also, anyone tell me where to camp if I’m going to fish Stump? I thought there was a small private site on the far side. Thanks
Welcome Cliffy! ๐
Last report re Lundbom:

That was March 18 so I don’t think it will be ice off yet.

Was in Gun Fishing store in Merritt today and found out that Lundbom is now open as is Alleyne and Hamilton. Hamilton will be restricted to youth and disabled fishers as of April 1st.
No way lundbom is open, 100 percent covered two days ago.
Maybe the guy at he gun store wanted to sell some flies! I was up past Lundbom & Hamilton today. Lunbom is practically tight to shore still and Hamilton is about 80% covered. Managed to get a couple of 2lbers in about 20 min from the bay west of the launch, which was the most open. There were a reasonable amount of fish moving in the open water. With some work you could get your boat through the skinny little channel along shore from the boat launch to either the west or east sides where there is enough open water to cast. Water is murky. The backswimmers were going nuts, in full flight mode!
Heading into that lake today, i am bringing the boat and hoping to get out there, thanks for the report.
Thanks for the heads up. I will head out to Stump. By the way I didn’t buy any flies, just some materials to tie my own.
Hey guys
Are the campsites available for use at white lake
Thanks
Yes, this was copy and pasted from the bcparks site:
Opening and Closing Campground Dates:(campground is accessible but may not offer full services such as maintenance, garbage pick up, security, etc.)
April โ October
No park gate; winter conditions determine when the campground will close.
Hello All, again a big thanks to those posting all the ice off info! It’s bee much appreciated not having to spend the time and gas searching! Fished jacko this weekend and did very well in very shallow water. Even managed a bunch from shore when it was too windy to want to put the boat in!
Most were good size, did get a couple coloured fish but mostly fresh silver bullets!
Ahhhh that was you from shore. I was in the pontoon to your left by the tree. That was a good evening bite.
It was a great evening! Couldn’t believe the action I got and didn’t even have to put the boat in:) have been up a couple times this week and not near the same action. Jus caught a good night I guess
Time to buy your new fishing license! ๐

Is the ice still on Stump?
Stump is Ice free.
Took the quad in to badger today. Lots of snow on the road. This is a picture from the boat launch at the forestry site
Any wors on Red lake?
Went up last thurs. Still 8 inch then. but that can change quick with this weather
Went for a ride up to Sciutto Lake today. With these warm temps it is coming along nicely. You can count the days on one hand for when it’ll be ready!
Also headed up to Harper Lake to see its progress. As a transplanted Vancouver Islander, I am amazed to see the speed that these lakes in the Interior can shed their ice! Only a day or two and Harper should be fishable. It might be tough getting to the boat launch at the Forestry campsite though. There is a considerable mud hole in the way. 4X4 only until it dries up a bit, I think.
Was working up near Heffley today, so I took a couple pics for the site…
