So this year we wanted to try to keep all of the ice off reports in one post. We decided that the easiest and most efficient way to accomplish this was to use the comments / reply section at the end of the post. Might work, might not but we’ll give it a try and see how it goes! Check it out below! 😉

Thanks & come on ice off!

has anyone info on Eagan Lake?
Hi Bryan,
At about 3700 feet, and considering that the hwy 24 lakes typically come off a bit later than the Kamloops area lakes of the same elevation, my guess would be that it’s still quite a ways off yet. Jacko sits at just over 2900 feet and if the weather doesn’t smarten up it’s probably still more than a week away. 😕
Thanks Ryan
hey guys ,comming up to loops for my sons hockey from vancouver this weekend. any decent shore fishin close by town..gota get my boy useing his 4 wt flyrod early this year…thnx in advance K
Welcome to Kamloops Kelly, I have seen 4-5 fish caught at 6 mile from shore. Where you fish depends on the wind direction to let your indicator float out. Try small green shrimp and black and shiny chronnys. Good luck!
fished six mile this morning with my father, we hooked up to lots of fish only manged to get 15 of those to the boat. We had Bites and fish getting off for nearly 3 hours steady though, it was entertaining. Is there any big fish in there? The biggest we caught was maybe 2 pounds trolling black leech.
Monte is ice off.

Campbell & Scuitto lakes getting wet on the edges – thanks for the update & picture Ken!
Hey guys & gals i think I just found an easy way to allow you to add pictures to your comments! Should make this thread a bit easier to manage! Just use the ‘add an image’ browse button below the reply box to select your image BEFORE you hit the comment ‘submit’ button … that’s it! Sorry JPG’s only for now but better thank nothing. Give it a shot!
Test picture to get everyone pumped up! 😉
That is one beautiful test picture. Does anyone know of a good lake with cabins for May May 19 to 23??
Roche Lake Resort – killer chronie week and BIG fishies! Just give Lauren or Neil a call at 250-828-2007 … tell them the flyguys sent ya! 😉
heading up to Roche for the long weekend – can’t wait!
does any one know if the ice is off Dutch lake ( near clearwater)? thank you.
Sorry I just saw this post … I didn’t see it with my own eyes but have it from a reliable source that Dutch now ice ice off. Looking forward to a fishing report 😉
Took a cruise around the Roche lake area today. Still no totally open water but things are beginning to happen. Ice is just coming off the edges on Roche lake itself and Horseshoe is a bit further ahead most likely due to the aerator. Here’s what Horseshoe looked like:
Nice photo. Did you happen to take a look at Bleeker? The fisheries biologist told me that oxygen readings were low at Bleeker and he was worried that it might winterkill unless the ice came off soon despite the aerators.
Sorry Ron, didn’t look at Bleeker. Me thinks it would be the same as Horseshoe though.
Wow! Horseshoe is a little further along than I would have suspected. That is also the clearest that I have ever seen the water at that lake.
Thanks for the report. You just saved me some gas money as I was thinking about heading up that way soon for a look.
NP … any reports from your recent outings?
Took the boy for a drive out to pass lake today, excellent road conditons until the lake turn off. Very icy road going in, the lake is still very solid and very white on top.
That sux! I was really hoping for a pre May Pass lake fix. 😕
No other ice-off reports as my only outing has been to Stump. The fishing was fairly slow. I managed to hit 6 fish in approximately 3 hours of fishing at the north end. All fish were under 1 lb with the exception of one. And, of course, it was damn windy!
Has anyone else been to Cambell and Scuitto lakes since the April 7th publish? haven’t been getting out much lately and well wanting to make a trip to cambell and scuitto soon here!!
