  1. Larry Sawchuk says:

    Stump is ice free.

  2. spencer-arnold says:

I see that Kidd has thawed out? Going to go check it out tomorrow, might drive Kane Valley Rd, will report back.

  3. sheldon-jillings says:

Interested in Vought valley off Kane valley Rd Davis,Boss, shay lake. Family is camping up there Easter long weekend is the ice off yet ?

  4. Jamie says:

Has anyone been by Peter hope or the Roche lake area? Thanks in advance.

    • troutboi says:

We were at Peterhope on Apr 5 and the ice was still pretty thick. I’m guessing Easter weekend for ice off.

  5. Rich says:

Does it have to be completely ice free? Logan Lake is 90%, with the eastern shaded end with a skim of ice.

  6. Chris Depper says:

Heard a rumour that Kane was iced off anyone know

    • sheldon-jillings says:

Father in law is up at Boss lake off Kane valley Rd and ice is off there so Kane should be free as well

  7. sthdslayer says:

    Any word on Lundbom

Roche lake cruise today … πŸ™‚

  9. ian-currie says:

Boats out on Edith and Roche today.

  10. Chaluga says:

Fished black last summer. Road in was horrendous. Only 4 by 4 and good clearance. Was muddy and almost got my.jeep stuck. Beauty of a lake even though I got skunked.

  11. chris-saucey says:

Anyone have any idea how long after Ice off that Roche Lake begins turns over? Typically? Looks like ice off was April 14th this year.

    • Avatar photo BCFlyguys says:

Depends on the weather … with the recent winds I’d say it’s already turning. It’s also never really been one of those lake that goes completely off during it’s turn so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. But if you want to be sure give it a week to 10 days …

  12. heffleyjack says:

Heffley Lake (not on the spreadsheet?)is mostly ice free. Mill Bay, launch area, is clear, some ice still on main section but pretty sure it will be all gone by weekend.
Little Heffley Lake was clear Sunday.

  13. Johnv22 says:

Any reports of winter kill or low oxygen? With Roche open can imagine some of the surrounding lakes that regularly experience winter kills are open. Thanks.

  14. Jamie says:

I’m taking the family to Peter hope tomorrow, does anyone know if it has started turnover? Being a clearer lake does it get much of a turnover?
    Thanks in advance.
