Spicy Crusted Salmon Steak Recipe

Well she’s done it again! You’ve just got to try this very delicious, nutritious and organic salmon steak recipe straight from Susan’s kitchen! Thank you Susan! 😀

Spicy Crusted Salmon Steak | Ingredients:

  • 4 Salmon Steaks (we like butterfly style)
  • 1 ½ Cups Organic Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips
  • 1/3 Cup Crisp Sun Dried Tomatoes (not in oil)
  • 1 Tbsp Roast Peppers & Garlic Seasoning
  • 1 ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • Crushed Chili Peppers to taste
  • 1 beaten Egg

Put Tortilla Chips and Dried Tomatoes in food processor and process until they resemble coarse bread crumbs.  Add the rest of the spices and mix together well.  Spice quantities can be added or reduced to taste.

Beat egg until frothy.  I separated the steaks into half pieces without the skin.  Dip the salmon in the beaten egg.   Let some of the egg drip off for a few seconds.  Roll the dipped steaks in the tortilla and spices until evenly coated.

Place on very lightly oiled baking sheet.  Bake in 350F oven until salmon flakes apart easily with fork (about 20 minutes). Flip over steaks at the half way point.

If you like a topping, mix a roasted pepper sauce with mayonnaise, 2 parts pepper sauce to 1 part mayo. The amount of heat in the pepper sauce is to taste.  Use as a topping or dip for the salmon.
