Sweet & Sour Moose Ribs Recipe
This is one of my all time favourite sweet and sour moose ribs recipes. These ribs are good for the days when it is not quite yet BBQ season. It’s a very easy and tasty moose rib recipe, with a very tasty sweet and sour sauce. Try it served on rice with vegetable sides .. delicious!
Sweet & Sour Moose Ribs Recipe | Ingredients:
- Ribs (Moose): 6 X 4 Rib Sections
- 1 ½ tsp Sea Salt
- 2C Brown Sugar
- 2Tbsp Flour
- 2/3C Vinegar
- 1/3C Water
- 2Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Ketchup
Sweet & Sour Moose Ribs Recipe | Directions:
Place the moose ribs in large pot and fill pot with water to cover the ribs. Add the sea salt. Put on stove and bring to boil. Lower heat and allow to simmer for at least 1 hour.
In a smaller saucepan, put brown sugar and flour. Mix thoroughly. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pan with the sugar and flour. Heat to a boil, stirring continuously to mix out any lumps.
Put ribs in covered casserole. Pour hot sauce over the ribs. Turn ribs over if needed to coat with sauce. Cover dish with lid. Place in a 250F oven to slow cook for approx. 4 hours. Turn ribs a few times while cooking to make sure they are all coated with sauce.
