A very cool and versatile Chironomid Pupa pattern shared with us by Scott Anderson! This Anti Static Bag chironomid fly is an absolute killer when the green phase chronies are coming off! 😉

Here’s how to tie it!

Chartreuse & Red ASB Chironomid | Tying Materials:

Hook: Mustad Signature C49S (or whatever other chronie hook floats your boat)
Bead: White Metal
Thread: Chartreaus 6/0
Overbody: Strip of Anti Static Bag
Rib: Small Red Wire
Thorax: Peacock Herl

… apply bead & tie in bag & wire.

… taper thread forward.

… wind bag forward & tie off.

… wind rib forward, tie off & apply herl collar.

… krazy glue & you’re done!
