Sharks Caddis Larva Fly Pattern …

Developed by Radoslav Kiskinov, the Sharks Caddis larva fly pattern is a very simple and realistic fly imitating the Caddis larva. It’s main trait is the body of twisted Antron yarn with hare’s fur. It’s main purpose is to catch fish – which it does very well when the trout are on the sedge larvae!

Hook: Curved (any kind of model for Caddis patterns)
Thread: Black 6/0
Head: Gold bead to match the hook size
Body: Yellow Antron yarn
Rib: Hare’s under fur dubbing hair
Thorax: Two peacock herl (or dark brown Antron)
Head Cement: Krazy Glue

Sharks Caddis Larva Fly Pattern | Tying Instructions .

… place bead on hook & start the thread.

… tie in Antron wool & wind it down to hook bend.

… wind Antron to bead & back to build up a foundation.

… split the yarn

… place Hare dubbing between split Antron.

… twist it together (like a dubbing loop) and …….

… wind it forward and tie it off.

… tie in some peacock herl & form a head.
