Does anyone know how to fish green lake in the cariboo? We just bought a place on it and have had a heck of a time catching(or even finding for that matter) the fish! Thanks in advance.

Don’t waste your time fishing Green lake, do some research online and the information you find will confirm this. Go Fish Watch lake its not to far and is an excellent lake to fish.

Any reports out of the Kane Valley.
Boss,Davis,Harmon, any info would be much appreciated.

    • Dawn says:

Fished Harmon last weekend, caught 15 fish over two days trolling leeches, etc. Lost one big one due to an antsy dog in the boat… Too windy for chronies. :-(

Red Lake Fishing Report for Mid May:

Strangely very few if any brook trout are being caught. Rainbow fishing can be hit and miss, but when it is on good fish up to four pounds are being caught. I personally hooked and lost one in the 6 to 7 lb class last Tuesday, so the big guys are still there, just can be very slow at times. Surface temp is sitting at around 56 – 59 F. Throat sampled or fish taken are reported to be full of shrimp. Size 14 or so black with white rib ice cream cone chironies on the surface. Although I have only fished it twice this year, if fishing with leech patterns they seem to be hitting black or maroon more than green or brown. Fish have been largely suspended at the 6 to 16 foot depth in 8 to 20 feet of water with most in the 15 foot water near bay mouths / channels / islands.

    Cheers,

    Darryl

Peter Hopeless fishing report … I know there’s big fish in there, now I just have to figure out where they are and how to catch them! :|

OK it wasn’t all that bad … did catch a few but don’t think I broke 3 lbs. Kenny, on the other hand, put on a bit of a clinic deep sea fishing chronies.

    … I’ll be back!

Hi all, any recent reports out of Edith? Id like to go this Friday evening family, weather, and work permitting. If anyone is interested in a great spot for kids give Paul a try. We were there this past Monday and anchored on the shoal just off the dog beach in 6ft of water and had a blast. Nothing big but a lot of fun to keep the kids happy. Red ice cream cone.

    Red Lake Report …….

Lots of bugs hatching including bomber chironomid and the fish are starting to focus on them. Lot’s of feisty brook trout (taking almost anything) to 5 pounds!

Some rainbows also being caught … the Pennask implants from 2 years ago are very healthy and averaging about 3.5 pounds. Rumors is the odd Fraser Valley tank is still kicking around but the biggest we managed was a plump 6.5 that JFM hooked into.

If your just looking for action, head into the shallows and you should be able to pick up pan fry brookies all day long! ;)
